Hi, I’m Amelia.

I’m 10 years old and just like most 10 year olds there are lots of things I want.

My mum and dad say that I have everything I need and more but that I’m never to young to learn about money and responsibility.

I thought having my own shop would be really cool, especially if it was a sweet shop.

It nearly put me off starting my shop after learning about all the things I needed to do but I am really lucky that my mums friend has a café and she let me use her café after she closed in the evening so that I could bag my sweets up in premises licenced by the council for food preparation. Because I am under 18, I have to be supervised with everything. I am working through the training course for my food hygiene certificate but it will take a while because it is quite difficult.

I have been learning how to plan, price, package and sell my sweets which has been quite a challenge. I have also had to store my stock at the café because it is very tempting having sweets around.

I am going to be at the next Princes Risborough Farmers Market on the 17th April  so I would love you to come and support me there but you can also buy from me through this website or through Face Book soon. If you would like to look at some of my sweets in person, you can see a small selection at Crumbs Too, 2 High Street, Princes Risborough.
